Everything You Need to Know about face waxing with hot wax
There’s usually a brief moment of discomfort as the wax is removed, but most clients find it much more tolerable than expected — especially with hot wax, which is specifically designed to minimise skin sensitivity.
Results vary from person to person but typically last between three and six weeks. Over time, with regular waxing, many clients notice that hair grows back finer and more sparsely.
For best results, hair should be at least 2–3mm long — roughly two weeks’ growth after shaving. Hot wax can grip shorter hairs than strip wax, so you won’t need to wait long after your last shave or trim.
For the first 24 hours after treatment, it’s best to avoid heavy exercise, saunas, sunbeds and direct sun exposure. Keep the treated area clean and avoid applying makeup or perfumed products immediately after your appointment. Amy will advise you fully at your appointment.

Hot wax is generally well-tolerated by most skin types, including sensitive skin, as it doesn’t adhere to the skin’s surface.
